When we lived is Salt Lake City and were on a tight budget we occasionally took our children shopping at Deseret Industries (DI)...similar to Salvation Army. Needless to say, our kids were nearly embarassed to death to be seen there. In preparation for our mission Pam and I decided we'd visit DI ourselves to see what might be on the shelves. I found this pair of shoes; brand new, never worn, perfect fit...$6.00. How grateful I am for this gift from Him. A small example of what we often refer to as one of the Lord's "tender mercies". I'm reminded of the word of the Savior to Joseph Smith in the Doctrine and Covenants, Section 59:21..."And in nothing doth man offend God, or against none is his wrath kindled, save those who confess not his hand in all things..."
